April 28th is a day like no other. It is the National Day of Mourning.
April 28th is the National Day of Mourning. A day to remember and honour those workers who have died, been injured or suffered illness in the workplace. It is also a day we renew our commitment to the promotion of healthy and safe workplaces and the prevention of future fatalities. As a visible tribute to the day, the CN Tower and the TORONTO sign at Nathan Phillips Square were lit up in yellow – a colour symbolic of hope.
